The Minimum Wage Panel of Fair Work Australia yesterday issued a notice of listing in relation to the handing down its decision in the Annual Wage Review for 2009–10. The Panel will sit to give its decision and make a short statement at 11.00 am on Thursday, 3 June 2010 in Melbourne.
The decision will provide a wage increase operative from 1 July 2010. The last general wage increase was from 1 October 2008, as no increase was awarded last year.
ERS Comment - Our Bet on the 2010 Increase
The ACTU asked for $27 and employers argued for $12-$15. We are betting on an increase of $26 to catch-up for the missed increase last year.
